On
8-3-03, an open house was held at Agudas Israel Synagogue.
Entitled "A Taste of Tradition," it was
offered as a community outreach program, with five holidays
spotlighted. Tables in the social hall were dressed
with traditional foods, dinnerware and an explanation
of each holiday. An open invitation was given to area
churches, public figures and neighbors. A huge success,
this event yielded a guest list of over 400 people from
the surrounding communities and better understanding
of who we are / what we are all about.
